The state Agricultural Policy of Odisha, 1996

     The State Agricultural Policy (SAP) in 1996 was declared by Government of Odisha in 1996. In 2008, the State Agricultural Policy was revised and its scope was widened to cover many other aspects of the state's agriculture.

       The SAP, 2008 served Odisha well and stimulated the growth of private lift irrigation and agro-industries. The largest consumer of power tillers id Odisha. A sustainable  growth was maintained in agriculture.
